Cinematic Lessons

Chapters students step inside.

Story-driven lessons with film, sound and motion, followed by interactive checks. Students experience the chapter, so they remember it, and teachers see what they understood.

The concept

Built like a film. Taught like a lesson.

Four things every cinematic lesson does.

  • A story, not a slideshow

Each lesson opens with a short film. Aarav, Anaya, Guardian and NOVA carry students into the chapter’s world: the place, the people and the problem to solve.

  • Aligned to the syllabus

Lessons follow the chapter and learning outcomes of the school’s board. CBSE lessons come first; for other boards, lessons are mapped with the school.

  • Interactive, with NOVA

Students investigate and answer as the story moves. NOVA asks guiding questions and gives hints instead of giving the answer away.

  • Assessed every time

Every lesson ends in interactive assessments, with explanations when an answer is wrong. Results reach the teacher’s reports straight away.

The cast

Explorers students follow.

Aarav and Anaya lead the academic lessons. Guardian and NOVA appear across every Learnorama experience.

Inside a lesson

The same four parts, every time.

So a class always knows where it is, and a teacher can plan around it.

  1. BriefingNOVA sets the mission: what happened, what to find out, and why it matters.
  2. The filmA short cinematic film on the classroom screen carries students into the chapter.
  3. InvestigationInteractive assessments test each idea, with hints and explanations.
  4. Badge and reportStudents earn the lesson badge; teachers and parents see the scores.

What each lesson is designed to build

  • Students can explain a concept in their own words, not only recall it
  • They connect the chapter to a place, a time or a real problem
  • They practise reading evidence and reasoning to an answer
  • Teachers see, per concept, what the class understood
